Honeymoon

We went on a dreamy honeymoon to France. We spent three days in Paris, three days in Nice and three days in Cannes. We went to Moulin Rouge while in Paris - a highlight for me. We rented a sports car Lotus 7 for one day and travelled up through the mountains of the French Riviera - Paul's fav part of the honeymoon...???
We truly had the time of our lives.... we will always remember it...

July 11, 2009 - The Wedding Day

Hard to believe it is finally here.... we are both so pyshed about it...

First, the gals had to go to the salon and get all done up - which is a challenge in England when you consider the humidity and its impact on hair...

Here are a few pics:

Then it was time to get the dress on - all of the bridal party got ready with me in the bridal suite - the kids really made the wedding...

Here are a few pics:

Time to get married!! I think I can speak for both of us when I say there were no nerves just joy. We were married in front of a small intimate group in a beautiful setting. As part of the ceremony, Paul gave Kaeleigh a necklace which had 3 pendant interlocking rings to signify our new family. The main ring was my Grammie O'Neill's wedding band. A true keepsake for Kaeleigh. Of course being in England it poured so we couldn't get any of the pictures done at the beach we had planned but we feel it was better in the end because we got to stay and mingle with everyone. We had entertainment come in for an hour with the children while cocktails and canapes were served. The Alverton Manor was phenomenal - service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We even had our own little dance. As is tradition, my family tried to get into the bridal suite to "decorate it" a bit but the staff would not give up the keys.... Truly a memorable day neither of us will forget!!!

July 2009 - Pre-Wedding

So the time is almost finally here. We arrived in England on July 7th spent a night in London and took the train to my sister's. Being the great matron of honour that she is - she hosted a "max and relax girl's night" which featured my favs - massage, wine, cheese and chocolate. How could you ask for anything more - Thanks Lou!!!

Laura and her husband Mark hosted a truly memorable rehearsal party after the rehearsal Friday nite at their house - thankfully they had a "marquee" in the backyard that kept us all dry and featured traditional Cornish fare for food. It was awesome - everyone had a great time.... once again THANK YOU!!!

Here are some pics of both events leading up to the big day.

Glenda's BIG 40

June 4/2009 - I turned the big 40 and Paul made sure that everyone in the neighbourhood knew with the gigantic sign he rigged up in front of the house.

We had a big party that went to the wee hours of the morn..

Here are some pics:

June 2009 -Kaels is done Elementary!!!

Hard to believe that Kaeleigh is half way through her school years. I signed up as chaperone on her overnite Grade 6 School trip - we went by boat to McNab's island and stayed overnite at the Museum of the Marine Atlantic.
Kael's school had a little graduation ceremony for the Grade 6 classes that was really nicely done - had to provide pics from when started school - seems so long ago!!
On June 30th we hosted a grad party for Kaeleigh and did the "Jr High Race" similar to the amazing race on TV - the kids had to go to different houses around the neighbourhood and do different activities.

Here are some pics of the now JR High student!!! and the events that took place.
